User and Advisory Groups

We worked closely with the following user and advisory groups on the 2011 Census.

Census Data Quality Advisory Working Group (CDQAWG)

This group was set up to involve external organisations in census data quality assurance, utilising local knowledge and data sources.

Scottish Census Steering Committee

Representatives from groups that reflect different parts of Scottish society advised us on how to develop plans for Scotland’s 2011 Census.

Population and Migration Statistics (PAMS) Committee

PAMS is the official Scottish Census Advisory Group. Details of the agenda, papers and minutes from recent PAMS meetings are available on this website.

Our partners at the Office for National Statistics sought input from a wide range of advisory groups covering topics such as data quality, outputs, legislation and processing. More information about the work of these groups can be accessed here.

The UK Census Outputs Working Group first met in March 2009 to provide a broad based body to contribute expert data user’s views on output from the 2011 Census.
